The National Coalition for Peacemaking in Yemen is a national component and a social entity that includes more than 100 political, academic, and social factions, and effective Yemeni unions and federations representing various segments of Yemeni society. It also includes a large number of diverse and prominent national figures, who have a great popular and political reputation in Yemen. After three years of war, the National Coalition for Peacemaking in Yemen was declared in a major event held at the headquarters of the Yemen Workers Union in Sana'a on September 29, 2017.

The coalition aims to unite all efforts to bring peace to Yemen, and communicate with all external and internal parties to the conflict and the countries sponsoring a political settlement to facilitate the convening of a comprehensive peace conference under the umbrella of the United Nations, as well as creating a local and international opinion to press for ending the war and making peace in Yemen.
